I'm going to be a father?

Wow, I still have a hard time believing this is real. But, here we are, less than 2 months from the due date. Actually, we are exactly 7 weeks from our due date. We are slowly getting the nursery set up. Along those lines, we bartered for a really nice crib from Bart and Tamika before they went to Vienna, which was great. It was brown and Katie had to have black, but we thought we could change it to black without too much trouble. Well, five, yes 5, coats of paint later, including an oil-based primer, and our bed looks bad. Even to me, it looks bad. My first reaction upon discovering how bad it was involved an axe, fire and some other things inappropriate for this blog. Instead, my parents took it back to Wichita to try to find a solution. More than likely, I am going to put either a lot more time into to this one or just buy a new bed. Both of which are very frustrating because of how cheap I have become and how much time I put into to messing it up. Unbelievable. The bed aside, we are getting really excited about Macy arriving. Thanks for all of the prayers and keep sending them up.

Continuing with happier things, the Sooners won tonight. We tried to give it back by missing free throws, but hung on for a big win. The win should help continue to bring me out of the depression I've been in since the Fiesta bowl, not to mention that football is almost over. Thankfully, my daughter (again, wow) is set to arrive soon which will brighten any day.

So sorry about the bed, but it will work out. Y'all are in our prayers each night!

The black crib thing is funny. We wanted a black crib too and could not find one at a price we liked and so Guy had your idea of painting one but then we decided it might be a lot of work and I ended up with a white one I liked....BUT...next baby I really may have to have BLACK! Exciting that you are almost parents. Miss you guys, Nan
