We are trying anything to bring Macy out!!!

We recently had some pictures taken by our good friends, Brad and Terra Myers. They did an excellent job and we (yes, even I) had fun taking them. This was my favorite one. It was not planned, but I thought it was appropriate for what is going on. Katie is doing ok, but she is miserable. We are trying almost anything to get Macy to come out and play! Good news, Katie is done with school, but that just means she gets to be miserable at home. We are telling ourselves that she is not coming without help, but who knows. Calling anyone is out of the question, because they think we are having the baby. That is ok, but it is never fun to disappoint someone. Katie is exercising everyday, but to no avail. So, please keep those prayers coming, especially for Macy and Katie's health, but also her staying comfortable. Also, whether it is meditation, rubbing your lucky rabbit's foot or voo-doo dolls, keep those good thoughts coming for Macy to come out and join us!!

I remember being in your same position, Katie, and it's so uncomfortable. I'll continue to pray for you. Here's what I used to get Maida here (or to just keep me busy and distracted until she came!).
* I sat on a birthing ball all the time... at the dinner table, watching tv, and checking my email. I guess it opens of your pelvis 20% and also takes some pressure off of your lower back, helps baby drop and makes you feel more comfortable.
* Walking. I went for numerous walks to help the baby drop.
* Water, lots of it! It will help soften your cervix.
*Pineapple! I made this one up, kinda. I had heard of other moms eating it, so I thought I'd give it a try. Erik and I got a whole fresh pineapple, sliced it up and ate it right up. Baby was on her way almost exactly 12 hours later.
* I suppose you already know about massaging above your ankles and nipple stimulation, neither one really did anything for me. Keep us updated!!!!!

Katie - that picture is hilarious. I can't wait to see some of your other belly pics! You can call me anytime you are bored and I will not assume it is "the call." *penny*

Remember our trampoline routines? Katie, do not even consider getting on a trampoline! Well, for us, we had just discussed that we didn't have anything else to do, and five minutes later my water broke. Do you have all your to-do list things done? Maybe that's why she's holding back. No, I know these are the slowest days, waiting for someone so important to get here. She will be here soon! Y'all are in our prayers every day!
