Trips 3 and 4 (of 5)

Michael, Macy, and I are currently on a stretch where we are gone 5 weekends in a row. (I wouldn't recommend that for a 6 month old. Poor Macy.) Last weekend we packed up and headed to one of my favorite places in the wolrd - Camp Deer Run. Michael spoke at the Daingerfield Church of Christ retreat and did a fantastic job. I was so proud of him! We also got to see some of my family when we were there. I just got a couple of pics because my camera was misplaced (lost) most of the weekend. Lacey, Mama - you need to email me pictures!

The Jeep had a rough week. This scared me to death, but Macy and I were fine. Just a little sore.

This past weekend we went to Branson with Michael's family. Due to the Jeep's misfortune, we got to ride with Gavan, Mel, and Jaylen. Here's what happened: On Friday morning, Michael and I went to Enterprise to rent a vehicle. When we get to the counter, the lady said, "Would you like a Jeep Grand Cherokee, GMC Envoy, or Nissan Xterra?" While I was trying to decide, Michael pipes in, "Do you have anything that will sit more people? Like maybe a minivan?" I hate minivans. I said I would never EVER drive a minivan. So I said very sweetly, "WHAT?!?" But a minivan made sense. Michael pointed out that we could all ride to Branson together, so it was a good decision. I made sure I could bring that thing back first thing Monday morning. (Which I did and now I'm driving an Xterra.) Mel and I had to admit the ole minivan wasn't that bad. It was very convenient with the babies. I'm not rushing out to buy a minivan, but I will retract my "never EVER" statement.

We got to Branson on Friday night and spent Saturday "hiking" and the girls went shopping while the boys watched the OU game. I've decided that Mel and I don't need to go shopping together while we're trying to save money! There were a lot of "That is SO cute." "You really need to buy that!" We played games on Saturday night and I ate way too much while we were there. Speaking of eating way too much, we went the Lambert's in Springfield, MO on Sunday for lunch and it was SO good. I knew if anybody would get hit with a roll, it would be me, but fortunately I made it out safely. I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted, but here are some:

OHHH!! Danny & I met in Springfield, MO. while at Bible College. My brothers live in Ozark... one at the very exit that Lambert's is on and my brother the next one down. My brother's m-i-l owns the Aunty Anne's pretzel at "The Landing". He used to manage it for awhile to help out. So you were in our old stompin' grounds! So cool! Mace is growing up so fast!!

I LOVE Lamberts! I keep telling Kody we should just make the drive on a Saturday and go there sometime since we aren't that far away. I love a good "throwed roll".

Cute pictures. We are so jealous you are going to the OU/Texas game. We will be watching it here but are trying to go see the OU/A&M game in College Station. Enjoy your weekend. Guy and Nan
